- Outlook 2003 with Gmail



How to configure Outlook 2003 with gmail




set up your Outlook client to work with Gmail:

1. Enable POP access in your Gmail account. Do not forget to click Save Changes when you're done.
2. Open Outlook .
3. Make click on the Tools menu and select Email Accounts ...
4. Choose Add a new email account and make click Next.
5. Make click the button POP 3 to determine the type of server, then please click Next.
6. Enter the following information in the appropriate fields:

User Information
Your Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages.
Email: Enter your full email address Gmail (nombredeusuario@gmail.com). Information


server Incoming mail (POP 3):
pop.gmail.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com

Home Information session
Username: Enter your Gmail username (including @ gmail . com)
Password: your Gmail password provided.

7. Make click More Settings ... and then click the Outgoing Server tab.
8. Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server

9. Make click on the Advanced tab and check the box next to This server requires an encrypted connection ( SSL) under Incoming Server (POP 3).
10. Check the box next to This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL ) under Outgoing Server (SMTP) and enter 465 in the box Outgoing server (SMTP).
11. Make click OK.
12. Make click Test Account Settings ... After receiving Congratulations! Have completed all the tests correctly, please click Close.
13. Make click Next and then Finish.
14. Download the latest updates of Microsoft Outlook. In this way you can prevent the occurrence of errors Outlook which often have more frequent users Gmail.
